The SoC features an analog receiver for the plunger, an accelerometer that senses the actual “tilt”, and four solenoids that send a 720p video signal to the screen. Arcade1Up at the bottom of the screen relies on an Android-powered SoC. The 24-inch LCD panel is offset by a large bezel (wooden up and down, aluminum left and right) all around. If you look into the fake coin door, you’ll quickly see how the Arcade1Up system is so different from the real thing. The Arcade1Up version is about 65% the size of a standard pinball cabinet and is more likely to fit in your favorite playroom, but it’s better to look at it alone than sitting next to the official table at the time. These include twistable legs that can be adjusted to even out the balance of the set. When fully constructed, the height of the tallest backplate in this cabinet can be up to 60 inches, but the default legs lift the flippers 35 inches above the floor. (Fortunately, you can pinch this base chunk loose.) This part is 34 inches long, 17 inches wide and 16.5 inches high. The biggest problem is getting the largest and heaviest parts of the cabinet through the door or over the stairs. Most of the physical cabinets are pre-assembled inside the box, and finishing a structure similar to a classic pinball machine with buttons and plungers is easy enough with a standard screwdriver.
